THE HEALTHY SHAVE
RUC STUDENTS CREATED NEW FOAM,
REMOVING BOTH HAIR AND BUDS
Nana Rytter Nielsen was an underwear model, and when she walked the catwalk she wondered why there was not a healthy and hygienic product the girls could use to remove troublesome hair and buds. The ladies typically feel comfortable at the bikini line and other troublesome places, while the men are bothered by the same thing on the neck. Therefore, together with another RUC student Kamilla Ellerbek Shailla, she has started the company Shabenaa, which has had their product ShaveSafe introduced to the market after hard work. At the New Year's eve event for the local business community at the town hall, kamilla reported on the two girls' experiences as 'entrepreneurs': -We have come through because we were settled and believed in it. Along the way we also had a very important course at RUC that gave us a necessary understanding. Unfortunately, it has been abolished in the meantime, so I hope that the Headmaster sitting down in the Chamber will get something done about it.
Random group work
The two students met by chance when they were put together in a group work at the university. When they then had to do thesis, they chose to work on how such a market product should be marketed. Young entrepreneurs are very different. The model Nana is very outgoing and likes 'to be on', while Kamilla takes care of it more organizationally. -Having a good product is not enough, you also need to make sure that customers become aware of it. You have to start while you can, preferably while there is SU, kamilla's advice was to the 140 business people who participated in the New Year's cure for the local business community.
